  • Overview

    The Post Production Controller is responsible for maintaining the accuracy &

    integrity of the data pertaining to the Post Production productivity & financial

    health in a high-volume content creation company with multiple locations. The

    Post Production Controller will be expected to analyze the data to generate

    appropriate reports for management and to provide consult on potential

    shortfalls in cost & margin control on the client/job level by studio location.

    Responsibilities

    • Creation of Post Production placeholder Purchase Orders.

    • CC recipient of Post Production vendor invoices submitted to avidbill pay.

    • Reconciliation of Post Production centric vendor invoices.

    • Create job specific allocation manifest per vendor consolidating multiple

    invoices into single tab if applicable.

    • Update Post Production placeholder Purchase Orders allocating line items to

    jobs in Netsuite.

    • Consolidate Post Production vendor specific allocation manifests into master

    manifest for submission to Finance department.

    • Creation of Post Production placeholder Sales Orders in advance of new jobs

    moving into Post Production department.

    • Update Post Production placeholder Sales Orders at the completion of jobs to

    actuals for local Post management approval.

    • After Post Production Sales Order has been approved by local Post

    management Post Production Controller generates & sends final invoice to

    client.

    • Receives requests from local Post Managers for the creation of Post Production

    WorkMarket assignments cross referencing daily/weekly Post Production

    schedules maintained by Local Post Production management to verify

    assignments.

    • Create/own WorkMarket assignments for Post Production with approval

    occurring in conjunction with local Post management.

    • Upload daily/weekly schedule templates for local Post management for each

    studio location that maintains Post Production personnel & fulfills any level of

    domestic post-production.

    • Collect, reconcile, & compile daily/weekly Post Production schedules from

    each studio location that maintains Post Production personnel & fulfills any

    level of domestic post-production in monthly productivity reports.

    • Compile monthly productivity reports into annual productivity reports for each

    studio location that maintains Post Production personnel & fulfills any level of

    domestic post-production.

    • Update & maintain running ‘client specific’ documents (location specific) used

    by local Post Production management for scheduling, forecasting, and assisting

    in developing pricing.

    • Engage with local Post Production management for resolution of any

    discrepancies discovered in reconciliation & compiling of local Post Production

    productivity scheduling & reporting.

    • Run Adaptive Insight reports for Chief Delivery Officer & Senior Director of

    Global Post Production.

    • Generate reports from local Post Production management’s productivity

    scheduling & reporting for Chief Delivery Officer & Senior Director of Global Post

    Production.

    • Pull Post volume reports via proprietary databases for Chief Delivery Officer &

    Senior Director of Global Post Production.

    • Generate, review & analyze financial performance reports (daily/monthly/yearly)

    in advance of HR & Finance audits for use by Chief Delivery Officer & Senior

    Director of Global Post Production to evaluate health of local Post departments.

    • Analyze financial health of accounts based on recorded metrics & cost

    calculations for use by Chief Delivery Officer & Senior Director of Global Post

    Production to establish local Post Production cost control/margin control goals.

    • Receive annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly projected/actual volumes from

    local Post Production management & local Production management at studio

    locations to be provided to external post-production partners.

    Qualifications

    Tech Requirements:

    Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Data Management Systems, NetSuite, and

    industry standard accounting software.

    Strong knowledge of Macintosh based equipment within a network

    environment.

     

    Soft skills:

    Professional written and oral communication skills.

    Strong attention to detail skills.

    Ability to make sound decisions with limited information; ability to work

    independently in a team environment.

     

    Education:

    College Graduate with a Bachelors Degree or equvialant.

     

    Languages:

    Fluent in written & spoken English (highest level as Post Production personnel is

    largely English speaking/writing only).
