  • Overview

    The Digital Imaging Specialist - Team Lead is responsible for manipulating digital images to produce a high-quality output for web and print.


    • Retouch assigned digital images to Sandbox’s and client’s standards
    • Ensure that retouching team meets Sandbox’s and client’s standards in output and professionalism
    • Responsible for retouching team meeting productivity & quality goals established by Director of Digital Imaging Services and Director of Content Production
    • Receive and execute on direction from Director of Digital Imaging Services and Director of Content Production
    • Communicate with Director of Digital Imaging Services and Production Team to ensure compliance with standards
    • Develop and maintain timelines that fulfill client needs without compromising quality or client experience
    • Color correction of on-figure and product imagery
    • Compositing and working with multiple exposures
    • Prepare images for client delivery
    • Comply with all work processes and procedures to meet the desired end result
    • Responsible to keep abreast with industry and software changes and updates, continually developing retouching skills
    • Proactively assist in problem solving within team and across department
    • Work successfully within a close, collaborative team environment and must exhibit professional conduct consistent with the values of the Company


    • Two year college degree; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
    • 3+ years experience in retouching, color correction and all areas of digital imaging production is a plus
    • Expert working knowledge of Photoshop, layers, masks, paths, color correction tools, actions and non destructive workflow
    • Some video editing experience is a plus
    • Experience in pre-press, CMYK color space and proofing is a plus
    • Solid foundation of color theory and composition
    • Strong knowledge of Macintosh based equipment within a network environment
    • Strong written and oral communication skills to interact on a professional level
    • Strong teamwork skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Working knowledge of office software such as Word, Excel, FTP
    • Ability to make sound decisions with limited information; ability to work independently in a team environment
    • Ability to respond well to changing priorities, workflows and information
